1. Try to set up a tent on a hard, flat ground.
2. Don't camp on the banks of the river and the dry bai riverbed.
3. The entrance of the tent should be leeward, and the leeward should also consider fire safety and convenience.
4. When setting up a camp, the camp cannot be placed under a cliff. This is very dangerous. Once a strong wind blows on the mountain, stones and other objects may be blown off, causing casualties.
5. To avoid flooding the tent when it rains, a drainage ditch should be dug directly below the sideline of the roof.
6. Use big rocks to hold down the four corners of the tent.
7. Keep air circulation in the tent, and prevent fire when cooking in the tent.
8. Before going to bed, check whether all flames have been extinguished and whether the tent is firmly fixed.
9. If the camp is close to the village, you can ask the villagers for help if there is any emergency. This is even more important when there is no firewood, vegetables, food, etc. The approach to the village is also a shortcut, that is, approaching the road to facilitate the movement and transfer of the team.
10. If it is a camp where you need to live for more than two days, you should choose a shady place to camp in good weather, such as under the big trees and on the north side of the mountain. It is best to shine towards the sun instead of the sunset. In this way, if you rest during the day, the tent will not be too stuffy.
11. In the rainy season or areas with heavy thunder and lightning, the camp must not be anchored on high ground, under high trees or relatively isolated flat ground. That's easy to attract lightning strikes.
12. Site zoning: A fully equipped campsite should be divided into tent camping area, fire area, dining area, entertainment area, water area (washing), sanitation area and other areas, and the fire area should be leeward.
13. Construct a tent camping area: If there are several tents in a tent camp area, when arranging the tents, you should pay attention to: First, all tents should be in the same direction, that is, the tent doors should be open in one direction and arranged side by side. Second, keep a distance of no less than 1 meter between the tents, and try not to tie the wind-resistant ropes of the tents when it is not necessary to avoid tripping people. 3. When necessary, a cordon (ditch) should be set up, and a circle can be drawn around the tent area with lime, tar and other irritating substances outside the tent area to prevent snakes and other reptiles from intruding.
14. Building a fire dining area: the dining area is usually in the same or similar place with fire. This area should be a certain distance from the tent area, and the tent should be burnt with a fire star. The best place for cooking is a place with ridges and stone ridges, so that stoves can be dug to build stoves. The firewood picked up should be stacked outside the area or upwind. The dining area is best to have a grassy area where everyone sits around. The "dining table" can be a large flat stone or just on the ground. The lamp should be placed where it can illuminate a larger area.
15. Construction of water intake areas: water and water intake are generally located at the water source. Washing water and edible water should be separated. If it is running water, the edible water should be upstream and the domestic water for washing should be downstream.
16. Build a sanitary area: the sanitary area is a convenient place for the team members to relieve their hands. If you just stay overnight, you don't need to dig and build a pit, you can designate a convenient place for men and women. If the number of team members is large or the stay is more than two days, a pit should be dug.
17. Construction of entertainment area: the entertainment area can be in the dining area, and it can be cleaned up after the meal. If the venue is large, it can also be a separate plot, as long as the venue is flat.
Precautions for outdoor camping
1. Selection and construction of camping sites
Four basic principles for the selection of campsites: water supply, leveling of the campsite, leeward and shade, and stay away from danger.
There are four basic areas for the construction of campsites: tent camping area, fire dining area, water intake area, and sanitation area.
Water supply: After a day of heavy exercise, the selected camping site has water supply, which is the key to complete the whole crossing goal. First, it can unnecessary increase the physical consumption of carrying water and crossing, and second, it can have a water source to sweat a lot. What a blessing to wash your smelly body and clothes beautifully. Therefore, when choosing a camp, you should choose nearby streams, pools, rivers, springs and other places with water supply to camp.
note
1. After selecting the water source, you must find the water intake route up and down, and level the water intake route to facilitate the dark night to fetch water. In many cases, the camp is leveled, but no good water intake is found. As a result, many mountain friends have accidents when they go to fetch water in the dark.
2. The camp cannot choose to camp on the river beach or in the middle of the river valley, nor can it choose to camp on the inner side of the river turn, cut it! There are power plants in the upper reaches of some streams. During the impoundment period, the river beach is wide and the water flow is small. If you do not understand the upstream situation, you can choose to camp on the river beach or in the middle of the river valley. Once the water is released, only accidents are waiting for you. Usually it seems that the flow is very small. Some of the streams cannot choose to camp, because once it rains heavily, the large area of rainfall between the watershed of the two ridges will flow to the water line, which is what we call the valley, which is easy to increase. Water or mountain torrents, especially in rainy seasons and flash flood-prone areas, we must pay special attention to prevent this situation from appearing at any time. In July of this year, I encountered this situation when I went to Yinpingzui’s soaking pool. In less than five minutes, I basically submerged the entire stream. All of my fellow GGMM friends could only retreat to the mountain road wearing swimsuits. , Very embarrassed.
3. After choosing the camping site, inspect the surrounding area of the camp. Second, choose an assessment, choose the range of the campsite to trigger the alarm rope, choose a safe escape route if there are accidents at night, and evaluate the safety factor of the campsite.
The locations that are not suitable for camping are as follows:
(1) On the river beach or in the middle of the river valley-it is inconvenient to release water or fetch water
(2) The inside of the river turning point-flood
(3) Windward side of the top of the mountain-strong wind and inconvenient water access
(4) Low-lying places at the bottom of the valley-wet, falling rocks
(5), dead wood or under the hive-falling wood, wild bees attack
(6) Animal water search points-animal harassment
Campsite leveling: After deciding to choose a camping site, clean the area where you are going to set up the tent, remove stones, shrubs and other uneven, thorny, pointed objects, and dig out all the uneven places, use soil or hair Fill up grass and other objects, and dig and arrange drainage ditch. The ideal campsite should be flat, non-damp, and well-drained.
note
The choice of campsite requires sufficient time to consider and choose, so you must start to pay attention to the selection of suitable campsite locations on the route after noon every day, and you must not start choosing campsites just after dusk. This is a big misunderstanding! ! ! Under normal circumstances, after a long day of trekking, it is difficult to have enough energy to choose a better camping spot, and there are not many opportunities for us to choose.
