The uغير مجاز مي باشدe of various tents is different. The method of setting up a common tent is to first choose the campsite and spread the inner tent of the tent flat on the ground (usually the inner tent, but there are also some who set up the outer tent first and then hang the inner tent. Yes, such as Eurohike, the principle is to wear the layer of the tent pole), take out the folded tent pole, straighten it section by section, connect it into a long pole, and put it into the tent pole sleeve on the tent according to the instructions. , The common tent is the cross method.
After wearing both rods. Insert one end of each pole into the small hole on the corner of the tent, and then two people hold the two movable heads at the same time, and lift the pole net to arch the tent until the head on this side can also be inserted into the small hole. After inserting it in the hole, the shape of the tent becomes like. Tie the cross of the tent poles with a rope, and you can hold this behemoth (actually very light) with one hand to take a picture of the elephant. Then choose the direction of the door to fix the tent on the ground. Use ground nails to hook the four-corner loops and insert them into the soil to stretch the bottom of the tent and make the tent tense.
Now start to hang the external account. Open the external account and cover it on the internal account. Pay attention that the doors of the internal account and the external account must face one direction. Hang the four corners on the four corners of the internal account You can find the hanging place near the position of the tent), and some are to nail the four corners of the tent with the ground near the four corners of the inner tent, and see if there are hanging loops to nail the tent. Tight and tight, and there is no place where the inner tent is attached, so that when the fish is placed, the inner tent will not be wet, and due to breathing, a layer of dew or frost will form on the outer tent in the morning, and it will not wet the inner tent if it is not attached. , But there are bad tent frosts that will be accounted for. In that case, if you wake up early, it will snow in the tent. Of course, the weather should be good, and it will be comfortable without an external account.
There are also some ropes on the tent, which are used to reinforce the tent. Generally, you don't need to pull it if there is no strong wind. It is best to pull it up if you don't worry, and use ground nails. The ropes are pulled evenly. When you get up in the morning, if the weather is good, it is best not to close the tent immediately, and to dry it a little bit.

The tents are designed in consideration of different uses and have different styles. In terms of the shape of the tent, there are five common ones: 1. Triangular tent The front and back use herringbone iron pipes as supports, and the middle frame is connected by a cross bar to prop up the inner tent and install the outer tent. This is the most common tent style in the early days. 2. Dome-shaped tent (also known as yurt type) It adopts double rod cross support, which is easy to disassemble and assemble. It is currently the most popular style on the market. 3. Hexagonal tent It adopts three-pole or four-pole cross support, and some adopts six-pole design, which pays attention to the stability of the tent, which is a common style of "alpine-type" tents. 4. Boat bottom tent After being propped up, it looks like a boat turned back, and can be divided into two-pole and three-pole different support methods. Generally, the middle is the bedroom and the two ends are the hall sheds. The design pays attention to the wind-proof streamline, which is also one of the common tent styles. One. 5. Roof-shaped tent Shaped like an independent small tiled house, the support is usually four corners and four pillars with a ridge-like structural roof. This tent is generally tall and heavy, suitable for motorists or relatively fixed field work camping. Known as the car tent.

The tent walls get drenched and leak. I went to this well known camping gear store and hooked up
with a young salesperson. After all, that is about all you use a knife for in the bush now days.
The walls breathed too well, so the tent was not enough of a heat trap for the cold, late season
nights we were going to experience - whatever. It had a big chrome blade, spikes sticking out of
the guard and a hollow handle. Inevitably they have a link to a store that sells the same tents
that the kitchen appliance and patio furniture stores have in stock. That is all those tents are
good for.
The other important part of the tent, that you need, is a good fly. Think about that as you lay
in a soggy sleeping bag in the dark not realizing that there is a pool of water forming in the
corner where you put all your clothes. When they are having a back yard sleep over, and the storm
comes, they can come screaming and giggling into the house. Get a real tent. If it is just two of
us then a two person tent it is, not an inch larger.", you say. I had reason to believe that he
had some camping experience. You have little or no protection from the rain. Most tents are not
so specialized and are something in between. When I wander around the big stores, the ones that
sell dish washers, ceiling fans and gardening tools, and make it to the camping section, I tend
to shudder. In spite of that I dumped three thousand dollars worth of gear on the living room
floor and said, " Look what I got honey!" Now if it was a cheap 0 guitar or even a kitchen
appliance she would have freaked out. I want happy, repeat customers. The fly is supposed to
cover the whole tent.
Where the water flows off the fly and falls to the ground is your drip line. It pours directly
onto the tent wall. No repeat customers there. And of course the family grows and I am loath to
carry more than I have to.
Today I know my way around gear. I buy a tent that is custom designed for the circumstances I
expect to find myself in. I am sure that the people selling the gear think it is wonderful. Not
only does it cover the whole tent but it should be big enough to come down to inches from the
ground and reach well away from the sides of the tent. For awhile it seemed like I always had a
tent for sale. It might help to understand that my wife and I go into wilderness regions for as
much as a month at a time, and then we do lots of short outings, so our tent is our home for a
good piece of each year. And remember, rain rarely falls straight down. They discuss the size of
tents and which size would be right for you, but there are fundamental features that a tent has
to have to be worth anything. During my college years I got away from camping, but as soon as I
graduated I ran out and bought a pile of camping gear. They would be just like my friend with the
knife, but far worse. He unscrewed the cap off the handle to reveal a cheap compass on the
underside of the cap, and inside the handle was a little sewing kit complete with needles, thread
and a few buttons along with some fishing hooks and other useless paraphernalia. Not only does it
pour onto the tent but there is a heavy concentration of water at the drip line. The water
flowing off these absurd, little flys doesn't fall to the ground.. "We can't afford that!!"
Instead she said, "Cool! Where are we going?" I knew I had married the right woman. They are
going to have a less than stellar experience and probably be turned off the joys of camping
forever. Right away I knew that this monstrosity, that was designed to fight a war, that my
"expert" consultant thought I had to have, was the last thing in the world that I needed to slice
my freeze dried food packages open, and perhaps trim a few lengths of rope. When you go into the
back country you want to be well protected and comfortable. I realized I needed a knife. They
tell you to pay attention to the ease it takes to put up and take down the tent. He was the pro.
An hour later you awake, because the thunder is louder and you see lightening flicking as the
storm grows closer. However, there is supposed to be at least one other part to your tent.
When I bought that gear a lot of things in the camping world had changed since I had last looked.
Most fabrics that breath are not waterproof. If you see that the rain is going to be pouring off
the fly onto the tent walls, don't buy it. I don't just buy a tent. There are lots of variations
on a theme. They make excellent kites. This gives shape to the inner walls and stretches out the
floor. When we had pretty well finished selecting everything I needed we took a moment to we
ponder if anything was missing.
And this is where I see the design flaws everywhere.
I don't sell tents, but I do facilitate people who are going into the wilderness, and I would
hate it if they had a lousy experience because they were burdened with poorly designed equipment,
so I am going to give you the straight goods on tents.
I suppose that many people are smart enough to know that the sales people can't be relied on for
guidance, so they turn to the internet for some insight. Get a real tent. I know why those people
don't mention these features. I don't know why so many tents are designed this way, but I suspect
the main reason is to save money and keep the price point down.
What I see at the paint and wallpaper, swimming pool and office supply stores are flys that only
make it half way down the side of the tent at best, or even silly little things that look like a
kid's umbrella perched on the peak of the dome.
Those cheap tents with the ridiculous flys on them are kid's, back yard tents. There is the dome
that is held in place by the flexible poles. Have a look at the well designed tents that they
sell to see what I mean. That way, as the rain pours off the fly it drips to the ground well
beyond the tent. The tents don't need to be pegged to the ground, although watch out if a wind
comes up. At the time my wife and I were poor as the proverbial church mice, having just
graduated, and being strapped with student loans. However, they so rarely warn against selecting
a tent with these common flaws. Not all are perfectly dome shaped. It is sad when you realize
that so many people who are new to camping go to these stores for their gear. The fly is supposed
to be good, sturdy, water proof material, and when you hear that storm coming you better get that
fly on your tent. One friend said, "What is it? You don't like the smell of mildew?" No, the
tents I sold were pristine. On a good tent with a good fly the walls will always stay dry right
down to the ground. Even if it isn't made of mesh, most tents are made of fabric that is light
enough to breath, otherwise condensation in the tent can be a big problem. People who answered my
ads would be amazed when they saw what I had to offer.
When I look at the tents in the power tools, roofing material and soccer balls store I am
appalled at the designs. I have no reason to believe that the people in the car tire, plumbing
and paint store have ever been outside of a city.I grew up camping. "But the tents at the vacuum
cleaners, big screen television and pet supplies store are so much cheaper. The flexible poles
create an arch on the outside, so they don't use any internal space or create an obstacle. They
are almost universally flawed and flawed badly. That is what our family did.
Tents typically have a few parts. I've noticed there are a lot articles on how to pick a tent. He
ran off, and came back all excited about a knife that was about two feet long and weighed about
four pounds.
I would never buy at tent until I have seen it set up. The walls didn't breath quite well enough
for the warm, humid nights that we expected to experience. Anchor your tent to at least one solid
thing. I don't work for the Mountain Equipment Co-op, although I am a member. Piece by piece we
selected each item, and I leaned heavily on his advice. It is perfectly fine to use it like this.
We like to be comfortable.
I admit I am a bit of a snob when it comes to camping gear. Large openings in the fly, to
accommodate windows, are just as bad. Fundamentally, the dome, held up by the flexible arching
poles, is your tent. You know you are in for one heck of a summer downpour, but you are all nice
and snug in your tent, right? Hold it - it is made out of thin gauzy mesh. Suddenly I was filled
with anxiety and apprehension as I eyed the great pile of gear that he had recommended.
Dome tents are the status quo today. Where the drip line is on a tent is one of the most
fundamental issues that has to have been well thought out when the tent was design. The walls can
be a fine gauze, for camping when summer nights are hot and muggy, or they can be thick denier,
tough nylon that can withstand razor sharp ice crystals lashing the fabric driven by a 90 km/h
winds on the side of Everest. They tend to be easy to set up, light and fit nicely in a backpack.
Over the years I have had many tents. They would say, "So you bought it and never went camping,
so you want to sell it?" No, I had probably lived in the thing for a couple of months in total.

Now lie down, sit up, and roll around as if you were in your sleeping bag.
How much should the tent weigh? My goal in a 1-person backpacking tent is to keep it under three pounds, a 2-person around four pounds.
In conclusion, always get inside the backpacking tent you plan to purchase at the retail store and make sure the tent is spacious enough for you and your gear. Also, if a 2-person tent, consider where the tent door is and how it will impact getting in and out of the tent. If you plan to camp in the winter, then buy a second heavier 4-season tent for that purpose. If the tent you are considering is not set up, ask the sales person to set it up, or better yet, you set it up.
When will you be tenting? Since most people avoid winter camping, a 3-season tent (spring, summer and fall) will suffice and will keep the tent weight to a minimum.
How much floor space will I need? Are you sleeping alone, with a friend, with a pet?
Most backpackers carry a one or two-person tent with a generous vestibule. Increased air flow means less condensation within the tent to dampen you or your sleeping bag. You should also be able to sit up without your head hitting the top of tent. The challenge is to get the most floor space for the least weight. Mesh walls and doors are cooler on warm nights and decrease tent weight. Do not be fooled! Many manufacturers list a minimum weight which typically excludes stakes, stuff sack, and guy lines. The best way to test the width and length of the tent is to grab a sleeping pad and place it on the tent floor. Ideally, the tent has a door on both sides for easy exiting for nighttime nature calls! Does the tent have a vestibule? A vestibule is like a covered front porch, a floorless area to stow your gear. If the tent is for two people, then both of you should get in the tent and test the space together. The average person needs about 16-20 square feet of floor space to be comfortable (anything under 16 might be a tight fit, but will save you tent weight). I carry a strong garbage bag in my pack that has many uses, including a tent stuff sack when the tent is wet. It is not fun to set up a tent for the first time in the rain or in the dark when you do not know what you are doing!.
What design options should I consider? Freestanding tents are great because they do not need to be staked to be set up and can be easily picked up and moved, floor dirt dumped out, or moisture shaken off tent prior to packing. One way to save weight is to get aluminum poles instead of fiberglass, ditch some of the stakes, and the stuff sack. A good size vestibule is at least 4 square feet. Another great tip is to set up your tent a couple of times prior to your first backpacking trip so you will be familiar with the set up. Stowing your hiking boots and pack here will not only keep the tent cleaner and more spacious, but also keep your gear out of the rain.Shopping for the perfect backpacking tent does not have to be overwhelming! Follow these four simple steps and you will be able to make your backpacking tent purchase with confidence. tent that clips to the poles is easier to set up and increases air flow between tent and rainfly.
Check for clearance (when lying down and tossing and turning, your head, shoulders, and feet should not touch the tent walls). Another cool option is a clear film viewing window on the rainfly for viewing the night sky while still being protected from the rain! Does color matter? bright color tent adds more natural light to the interior and, in an emergency situation, is easy to locate. When researching tents make sure the total weight includes rainfly, canopy, stakes, poles, stuff sack, and guy lines. Your best tent testing method is to find an outdoor store that has many tents set up on the sales floor and get inside the tents. It makes no sense to carry the extra weight of a 4-season tent except in the winter.

Additionally after each step it would be beneficial to have the tent dry and this will prevent the start of any mold or mildew growth. Modern tent materials are tough and durable. It's OK to refold your tent the same way every time. When it comes to packing up the campsite and cleaning the gear for the next camping trip it is not nearly as enjoyable and at times can be a chore. Shaking the tent will help remove some of the water from both inside and outside, but the tent will need to be hung for a day or two until completely dried. Keeping these essential items with the tent means you'll always know where they are. Unpack the tent and unroll and/or unfold the tent and lay it flat on the ground. Hopefully the next camping adventure is only a short time away, but in case it isn't you should store the tent in a dry location away from heat sources, rain or other moisture as well as direct sunlight.
Prior to taking the tent down the interior of the tent should be preliminarily cleaned. Poles, ropes, and stakes are usually stored in separate ditty bags, which are rolled up inside the tent. If you thought it was a chore to clean the tent after a camping trip the removal of mold and/or mildew will be a job far worse. In a lot of instances camping can be an adventure and very enjoyable. Depending on the size and type of tent, the tent may be folded, rolled, or a combination of both. Storing a tent in direct sunlight will result in the fading of the tent colors and may over a long period of time could also result in the tent material becoming brittle.. If you have a whisk broom it is suggested to sweep out the interior to get as much dirt as possible out. Most frequently the only drawback to storing the tent in direct sunlight in the short term would be the fading of the colors.
The final item to be done is to store the tent away until the next camping adventure.
Now the tent as well as all of your other gear can be loaded up for the trip back home. The steps include:
Taking down the tent,Cleaning of tent once home, and Storage of tent. It is very important at this stage to make sure that the tent is completely dry in order to prevent the growth of mold or mildew. If the tent is not stored in a location away from heat sources, the tent material cold become brittle reducing the life of the tent. Once home the job is not complete, the tent needs to have its final cleaning. After wiping the dirt from the stakes you can pack all of them in their storage pouches.
Tents should be stored dry, free of debris, and folded and rolled in the same manner as when you unpacked the tent. Watch the weather and when there is a span of two or more days of good weather without rain or storms then it is time to finish cleaning the tent. Turn all pockets inside-out and thoroughly spray it with water. Give the tent a nice shower. It is recommended that the tent be packed in the same manner in which it was unpacked. When most of us pack up our gear we tend to be in a hurry and do not take the time to properly clean the gear while at the camp site. Now is also a good time to hose down the tent stakes to remove any remaining dirt. Now hang the tent on a clothes line or from a tree so that it is elevated off the ground. Now is the time for you and your camping partner if you are not camping alone to grab onto the corners to lift and shake any dirt off of the outside of the tent. Likewise storing the tent in rain or other moist locations could result in the growth of mold or mildew making it a potential health concern and again possibly reducing the life of the tent. Once you have the interior of the tent emptied of all items and swept you can now remove the tent stakes, ropes and tent poles. When you know how to clean and store a tent you will find it is not difficult and will help ensure it will last for countless camping adventures and hundreds of nights in the wilderness.
Cleaning and storing a tent is not difficult when the process is broken down into the three steps presented in this article. Hose down both the interior and exterior of the tent. Keeping the inside of your tent free of twigs, leaves, rocks, and dirt will help prevent holes and tears when you pack it up. Each step is equally important and skipping one or more of the steps could make the task of cleaning and storing the tent for the next outing more difficult and time consuming or may shorten the life of the tent. If you were camping with children, then you probably will find some surprises such as candy wrappers, or other items they stowed in the pockets of the tent. There are some basic procedures that need to be followed in order to properly clean and store the tent until the next camping trip. Proper cleaning and storing of a tent is not difficult when you know what needs to be done. This final cleaning does not need to be done immediately but it is recommended not to delay the cleaning too long as the longer the you delay the less likely it is that the final cleaning will be completed. This article will specifically address the cleaning and storage of tents. Place the pouches containing the stakes, poles and ropes on the folded tent and roll the tent over them if it was rolled before unpacking and setting up your tent. This is also a good time to check all of the pockets in the tent and empty them as well. Once again sweep or vacuum the interior floor of the tent to remove any remaining loose dirt.
Since the tent is completely dry you can now once again fold it up, roll it and place in the storage bag along with the stakes, poles and tie down ropes. Lay the tent back on the ground and begin to fold the tent in on itself along the same fold lines when it was unpacked. If your tent was not previously rolled then simply place the folded tent in the storage bag along with the other storage pouch. The steps consist of taking down the tent, cleaning of tent once home and storage of the tent.

Larger spaces will be provided in tents with taller peaks. Parents will appreciate the privacy provided by this arrangement too. Dome tents perform extremely in wind. In cooler weather, water vapor inside the tent from moist, outside air and exhaled breath from the occupants will condense on the interior surface of the tent.
Windy conditions will call for strong poles, stakes and anchor ropes.
The floor should be constructed of waterproof coated nylon covering the floor, and turning up the sides for approximately six inches, creating the tub. You can also use this opportunity to go to your local sporting goods store to buy some seam sealer and waterproofing spray. They're built to withstand stronger wind and more violent rain. Remember, the tent slopes downward at a sharp angle, so the actual spot where you can stand up will be small.
Sunlight and its accompanying heat create a major need for shade and airflow. A five by seven foot tent is adequate for young kind..
Remember that not everyone will need this amount of durability. Second, you need enough room for all tent occupants to be comfortable if 'weathering the storm' becomes necessary. If you are packing for a long trip, you may want to increase the square footage depending on the quantity of gear you are going to bring. They should open and close with ease and shouldn't catch on the tent fabric. It will keep out any water that runs down and under the tent. With this in mind, an 8' x 8' tent would work well as a 2 man family tent. First, finding a suitable place to pitch such a large item will be a challenge. BUT, a 10' x 10' tent is much more suited for two adults (seems like overkill, huh?). test the zippers. The one that suits your needs may not be the right one for someone else. The geodesic dome has many variations, with varying combinations of connected triangles.
Adding 'dry' storage for your gear, and enough space to get out of your tent without tramping on your tent companion, will result in a more enjoyable outdoor experience. Their rounded design reduces the wind's effect, and their pole arrangement provides great strength.
Long excursions in cold weather call for a special, heavy-duty 4 season tent. Screen windows on opposite sides of the tent, or a screened window opposite a screened door, will allow air to flow through the tent.
Why be shoe-horned into your tent? Figure on using the tent at half its rated capacity and you should have enough room for two adults and most of their gear. A smaller tent will stay much warmer than a larger tent with your body heat.
Fabric Almost all modern tents are now made of nylon. The rain fly will provide shade. There should be a minimal amount of seam (the more you have, the more potential for leaks). Coated nylon is used for waterproofing. Unless you plan on doing winter camping, you can use a "three-season" tent that has the features mentioned above.
Support Your Local Tent - Poles Poles included with most tents available today are made from aluminum or fiberglas. Some tents even come with a vestibule that allows for this. The umbrella is a commonly used family tent, with plenty of standing room, including large windows and a rain fly. Poles, when mishandled can bend or break, so many tent manufacturers provide repair kits for you to carry along on the trip. This should shut out the rain, even in windy conditions. If you decide to purchase a tent with a round or oval floor, you should plan some extra floor space to compensate for the less efficient layout. Plan for the taller persons in your group. A six or seven foot peak height is necessary for adults, and a four foot peak is about right for kids.
Hey!!! Zip It Up!! Make sure when you go out to buy your tent. The fly should extend far enough over the door, so it keeps out the rain when you open the door to enter or leave.Family camping tents come in many shapes and sizes. No-see-um mesh is used for the window screens.
Tents with square floor shapes are more efficient when laying out sleeping and gear arrangements. Each person should have a minimum of 24 square feet of floor space; enough room for your pad, sleeping bag and gear. For most trips, try to have a tent that is tall enough to stand in. This can be prevented by allowing airflow through your tent or by passing through the mesh fabric. That's why there is such a large variety produced for the outdoor enthusiast market.
Make sure your tent has a waterproof rain fly made of coated nylon. The milder the weather you camp in, and the closer to home you camp, the better solution will most likely be a less expensive tents. Your first trips will probably be when the weather is warmer, and you will probably not venture deep into the wilderness until you gain some experience and decide if you like camping or not. The tape is stitched into each seam, which reinforces the seam and adds to the weather-proofing. The zippers should be rust-resistant.
Shaping Up Your Tent Choices Tents come in four basic shapes: A-frame, umbrella, geodesic or "dome", and wall. All waterproof seams in on the fly and floor (or tub), are usually factory waterproofed with a seam sealer. You need a spot as level as possible.
The tent size is also a consideration with cool weather camping. Second, big tents are extremely heavy and bulky to carry. Nylon mesh is used for inner walls and gear pockets.
The peak height is very important to your comfort. a 6' tall sleeper will be very cramped in a 6' wide tent; leave yourself at least 1 foot of foot-room.
Kids can fit comfortably in smaller tents. Better tents use thicker fabric and rip-stop fabric. Once they are old enough, about seven or eight, they will probably want to sleep in a separate tent anyway.
Seams to Me It's Important Seams should be reinforced with nylon tape and double-stitched. The wall tent is like an A-frame tent, but is generally much larger and has vertical side walls, and is most commonly used in army applications and Scout camps (These are usually set up on permanent decks). Teenagers should be considered as adults when fitting a tent.. Remember, you can always upgrade your equipment later. Make sure you allow the tent to dry before packing it back up. The fly should wrap around the tent and reach down the sides, leaving only a few inches of space between it and the ground.
You Get What You Pay For Usually, the more expensive tents are made with stronger fabric, poles, and stitching. Don't forget to purchase a tent that will be wide/long enough for you to stretch out when you sleep. The most important features will be a rain fly that fully covers the top and sides to keep snow and other precipitation at bay, and an interior layer made from an open mesh fabric to allow water vapor to breathe out of the tent. This size determination is okay for backpackers who are packing light, but makes no sense for the average camper.
Rain causes two issues to surface. Set up the tent in your yard before the first tent use to test out the pitching process. Fiberglas poles are included in most 'every day camping' tents.
Size DOES Matter Tents are marketed as two man, four man, six man, etc..
Be careful about buying a tent larger than 10' x 10'. It's always a good idea to do this to ensure a dry trip. At best this describes the most people you can cram into the tent for sleeping, with no storage for any of your personal items. The poles are usually linked together with an elastic shock cord.. This size tent will have enough space for air mattresses, cots or pads AND still have enough space to stand up when changing clothes. A good tent, that is well cared for, can last for many years.
If you're just beginning your camping journey, and don't know if you'll enjoy it, you might want to start with a less expensive setup. The A-frame is the old-style, traditional "pup" tent shape, but can also be quite large. This gives each camper 32 square feet to spread out their gear and sleeping area. The better quality tents usually come with specially made aluminum poles, with a high degree of flexibility. Keeping yourself and your gear dry is first and foremost. You will need a minimum of 30" of space across the tent for each sleeping bag just for sleeping.
.
Hot and Cold Flashes and "Why is My Tent Shaking?" Weather variations will place many demands on your tent. Finally, it might be better to have several smaller tents so everyone isn't sharing the same sleeping, changing & living area. This speeds up the setting up process (important when doing it in the rain!)
